"The only thing I was able to do for myself, for my personal way of living, for my house, for my diverse empty houses, was to cover their arid and solitary walls with bed sheets where I would cut and draw images."
Pietro Consagra, 1974, Multicenter grafica, Milano
Tommaso Calabro Gallery is pleased to present "Immagini Vaganti. Pietro Consagra", an exhibition dedicated to a protagonist of Italian modern art, Pietro Consagra (1920-2005), unveiling lesser-known aspects of his work.
Focusing on a little known series by the artist, the Lenzuoli, the show is the third chapter of a project curated by Paola Nicolin, which fosters new, untraditional readings of twentieth-century art.
