Inaugurated in April 2024, Tommaso Calabro Venice presents monographic and group exhibitions dedicated primarily to twentieth-century artists, both famous and lesser-known, often fostering their rediscovery.
Tommaso Calabro Venice is located in the heart of the lagoon, in Campo San Polo, in the evocative setting of Palazzo Donà Brusa, a palace dating back to the fourteenth century. The palace was once the residence of the Fonseca family, a renowned family of painters and writers, and previously served as the headquarters of the Signum Foundation.
The gallery rooms on the noble floor feature a wooden ceiling with a Gothic vault and flooring made using the typically Venetian technique of pastellone. The courtyard and the crypt on the ground floor are used to host installations and works by contemporary artists.
