The Galleria Tommaso Calabro is pleased to participate for the first time to miart fair during the April 2023 edition.
The Gallery will not participate to the fair with a presentation of works for sale, but with its mere presence, in order to promote a reflection on the relationship between the fair and galleries in a city like Milan, full of places where art is staged every day for both cultural and commercial purposes.
The stand will be left completely empty, except for the presence of four screens which, connected to a series of video cameras positioned at the gallery, will broadcast images of what is happening there in real time. Visitors at the fair will find themselves observing the visitors who have come to the gallery to visit the ongoing exhibition, which will be dedicated to the surrealist painter Stanislao Lepri (1905-1980). The screens will act as a bridge between the fair and the gallery, which will thus remotely become part of miart.
